Why hello there! Yes it is us, Lauren and Alyssa! We have returned from a long, perilous journey we are not a liberty to discuss (it involved a ring and Mount Doom) (OMG DID YOU JUST MAKE A LORD OF THE RINGS JOKE?) (YES I DID) but we’re finally back, ready and excited to deliver new fashion content to you dearest pals!
The following took place on a beautiful day when we found ourselves in a quaint park, surrounded by nearly nude sunbathers. Fear not, Lauren and I were not nude as we are COMMITTED TO FASHION and LOOOVE WEARING CLOTHES!

Alyssa wears HM heart-shaped sunglasses, steve madden sandals and a dress by Leifsdottir, bought on extreme clearance at Anthropologie.
CONFESSION: This was the first time I ever purchased anything from Anthro, because it is mightily expensive. While I go into the store frequently, it’s mostly just to wander around and daydream about the day I am fabulously wealthy and read to drop 5K on a dress with a full skirt and a peter pan collar, also the known as the day I magically transform in Zooey Deschanel. I cannot wait for that day to come, y’all.

LaUrEn aNd aLySsA dO fAsHiOn: THE ARMORY EDITION
Hello cherished amici!
We write to you from the sun drenched beaches of Acapulco, as we begin the first half of our three week long spring break! Our beloved Chad and Thad (our sexy identical twin boyfriends who are award-winning neurosurgeons, semi-professional bowlers, quiche-enthusiasts and have lovely muscular abdomens, if case you’ve forgotten) have taken us on a tour de world for spring break. we travel to Iceland next, where we plan to wear matching fur bikinis whilst skiing with Bjork! WOO-HOO!!!!
But anyway, first we have a post of what we did last weekend, attended the ARMORY ART SHOW! It was great! we saw lots of art (oodles of neon!) and decided to take pictures of ourselves in every reflective surface, as mirrors seemed to be an extremely popular motif for the artists. After all, there is nothing we love more than taking pictures of ourselves in mirrors like we still have Myspaces! OH NOSTALGIA!

It got a little awkward when people would stare at us staring at ourselves. BUT FEAR NOT; WE DID IT FOR YOU DEAR READERS. WE ARE BRAVE BLOGGERS, BRAVELY PHOTOGRAPHING OURSELVES AND IMMUNE TO THE PERHAPS SHOCKED REACTIONS OF PASSERSBY SUCH AS THIS MAN WEARING A LOVELY HAT.
The superbly sunny Lauren is wearing a fab button-down shirt from TJ Maxx and jeans from Delia’s.
Alyssa is wearing her most prized possession, a velvet leopard print coat from the old lady’s department of Filene’s Basement, as well as a dress by HM, sweatshirt from KMart, a necklace from Vera Wang for Kohls and Crown Vintage boots.

Today’s outfit post is slightly delayed (WE ARE SORRY WE LOVE YOU PLEASE STILL BE OUR SPECIAL FRIEND, DEAREST READER!) as this is what we wore on Saturday, the day we like to do fun things! Such as go to the library! And go to the clubs! We just love the clubs! We love to dance to our favorite song, Britney Spear’s “Gimme More”. It’s Britney, Bitch!

Our other favorite weekend activity is hiding in Alyssa’s closet and making monster claws at unwitting passersby. BEWARE! Just kidding! We’re super friendly! And love independent music. Like Animal Collective! And Crystal Castles! And The Cure! And Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head! ETC!

You are probably wondering where we’ve been for the past few days. Perhaps you have been clutching your pillows in fear and agony, twisting and turning and unable to sleep at night, staring gloomily into your steadily congealing cups of coffee as rain pours ferociously down from the sky, asking yourself, WHERE FOR ART LAUREN AND ALYSSA?
Fear not, bosom buddies! We have returned! But where were we, you might ask? Take a clue from our stripy outfits: we were in jail! Don’t panic, we’re fine now! Just going back to our usual activities of reading books, wearing clothes, talking about art and taking photographs of ourselves next to Alyssa’s scenic garbage can. Please note the recycling bin: we <3 the environment!

My Beautiful Laundrette
Hi guys! Today was just a typical tuesday, meaning we hung out for hours in our building’s laundry room, just straight-up chilling. Just palling around like a couple of pals having a great, fun, excellent time in which so much fun was had we almost couldn’t believe it, how much fun it was! And it was indeed! Fun, that is!
SURPRISE! It’s Lauren! Today, Lauren is wearing a sweater she got while thropping with her sister. What is thropping, you may ask? THRIFT-HOPPING! New word day! AKA going from thrift store to thrift store in search of the perfect knit-blue-flowered-sweater. This one is from a little secondhand shop in Lakewood, New Jersey. She is wearing a Charlotte Russ skirt, TJ Maxx tights and thrifted oxfords, which were a gift from her sister and cost about $1. well played, Lauren, well played.
Alyssa built her outfit around her socks, which came in a six-pack from Target. She is wearing Urban Outfitters jeans, a thrifted men’s button down and her most prized piece of clothing, a Marc Jacobs’ cardigan purchased extremely cheap fromLoehmann’s. The scarf is from Daffy’s and her shoes are men’s as well (ALYSSA LOVES TO WEAR MEN’S CLOTHING, THAT IS HER SECRET) and are from Burlington Coat Factory.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY Y’ALL
We at Lauren and Alyssa Do Fashion would like to wish every one of you a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I’m writing to you from my boyfriend’s private yacht as we sail through the Canary Islands! Lauren and I were both surprised by a special Valentines Day cruise as a gift from our wonderful, handsome, mega-rich biochemist/fashion model/pulitzer-prize-winning-novelist/art critic boyfriends, who happen to be identical twins! They are named Thad and Chad. Sometimes we get them confused because they have almost the same name! So crazy! Simply nuts! But don’t worry, we managed to take some photos of our outfits between opening lavish gift boxes from Godiva and Cartier!
Lauren is wearing a festive thrifted button up dress (backwards! she’s wild!) and a skirt from Charlotte Russe!
The skirt is made of luxurious velvet and features a slightly ruched waistline that makes it very flattering.
Alyssa is wearing a dress by Charlotte Ronson for JC Penny’s (and she would like to add that she adores this line: adorable, body-flattering dresses that are not only extremely well priced but are machine washable? WIN-WIN) as well as textured sweater-tights from Kohls.

The Name of This Post is Talking Heads
Hey There Ferocious Fashion Friends! We both had exciting days today and had to wear outfits to represent that. Actually, we really had to wear clothes because public nudity is frowned upon in modern society. But I digress!
For her art historical adventures today, Lauren wore a shirt from HM, a skirt from Charlotte Russe and tights from Marshalls.
Unfortunately Alyssa was ill today so we have a casual outfit that represents what you can wear when you feel like your internal organs are slowly melting! She is wearing a grandpa sweater, jeans AND scarf from Urban Outfitters, and an authentic Devendra Banhart concert t-shirt. The highly coveted spiderman mug is from TJ Maxx , purchased for a mere $2. If there’s one thing we love at here at Lauren and Alyssa Do Fashion, it’s A BARGAIN.
Here is a special spotlight on Lauren’s new shoes, which are TOMS. They have a cool sneaker shape, which is a little more unusual than the classic TOMS silhouette and she likes them a lot.
